1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MapsScraper (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
MapsScraper is a Google Chrome browser extension that automates the collection of publicly available business information displayed on Google Maps. Data that may be collected includes, but is not limited to:
- Business names, addresses, and phone numbers
- Ratings, review counts, and categories
- Website URLs and working hours
- Email addresses found on business websites (Premium)
- Social media profile links (Premium)
- GPS coordinates
The Service operates entirely within your own browser using your own internet connection. MapsScraper does not operate a scraping server on your behalf.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the Service responsibly and lawfully. In particular, you agree to:
- Comply with Google's Terms of Service and any applicable platform policies.
- Use collected data only for legitimate business purposes such as sales outreach, market research, or business analysis.
- Not use collected data for spamming, harassment, or any form of unsolicited mass communication.
- Comply with all applicable data-protection and anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL).
- Not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the extension without prior written consent from MapsScraper.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension's source code.
MapsScraper is not responsible for how you use the data you collect. You bear sole responsibility for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and third-party terms.
4. Subscription and Payments
Premium subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) and are processed securely by Paddle, our authorised payment provider. By subscribing you authorise Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.
- Prices are displayed in USD and may be subject to local taxes.
- You may cancel at any time from your Paddle customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- MapsScraper reserves the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' notice.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the MapsScraper extension, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to MapsScraper. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for your own internal business purposes. No other rights are granted.
"Google Maps" is a trademark of Google LLC. MapsScraper is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Google.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapsScraper and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or are using the Service in a manner that could cause legal or reputational harm to MapsScraper or third parties. Upon termination, your licence to use the extension immediately ceases.
You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling any active subscription.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g., via email or an in-extension notice). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
